More N.H. Credit Cards Being Canceled In Security Breach
More New Hampshire credit and debit cards are being re-issued because of the security breach at a store chain that includes Marshall's and TJ Maxx.
Merrimack County Savings Bank is reissuing some of its Visa debit cards as a precaution, but said it has no reports of fraudulent use of any of its customer cards.
Other banks reissuing new cards are TD Banknorth and St. Mary's Bank. Sovereign Bank and Ocean National are undecided, but still monitoring the situation.
The New Hampshire Bankers Association estimates tens of thousands of New Hampshire credit and debit cards may have been affected by the security breach, in which a hacker got access to card information.
